Professor Timothy Rainer

Professor Rainer graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1986, and trained firstly in internal medicine and then in emergency medicine.  In 1996, he moved to the Chinese University of Hong Kong to develop an Accident and Emergency Medicine Academic Unit.  In 2015 he took up a post as Professor of Emergency Medicine at Cardiff University.  His research interests include non-invasive haemodynamics with particular reference to shock, sepsis, cardiac failure, hypertension, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and in clinical trials.
